I had gone 4 very happy years living in Manhattan without a TV. In fact, I insisted.

But then the playoffs happened, and who the fuck am I kidding. We took delivery of a 40" Sony last week and the cable guys will be here in the morning.

it's glorious. for a part-time working student with only 3 exams ahead of me, the first round of the postseason is pure bliss. tv has one game, computer is streaming two others and when games hit OT i'm up until 1:30am watching all of the glorious highlights. playoffs icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

oh, just put money on nashville against some hardcore detroit types. here's hoping its easy money icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

edit: did anyone see that pane of glass fall on krejci's head last night? he isn't at practice today. freak accident, looked scary, damn near bent his neck sideways.

Right? We got a 57" for an engagement gift from someone who knew we were hockey fans. We were engaged early April, got the TV a few weeks later, just in time for playoffs. Now its 6 years later and we're looking at 60" for the big lr wall. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

FTR, I was just telling my wife how I feel like a pussy now cause I can't stay up to watch the late games anymore, even when I'm off work. Being a dad is fucking exhausting. I remember as a kid, and in college, staying up al of April, and when my wife and I were pregnant with the first kid, we LIVED at the Garden during the playoffs. We joked if our daughter was born early, we'd name her Madison after her place of birth, cause we were there every other night for what seemed like all of April and into May.

The Devils are absolutely dominating this game. 23 shots in 15 minutes!

Loving the Flyers game. Exactly what I said about Pitt: suspect defensively.

^^^Wow! Imagine a 5-5 playoff game in the NHL in 2001.

Well, the Devils had some rough patches in the 2nd but managed to pull out the W. Fleury looked terrible on the Jagr goal. Who expected this?

nashville-detroit was an awesome game, sad to see it decided on a shitty goal. mark lee, please, please, PLEASE stop calling radulov "raddle-ov."
