Change vehicle address on car insurance?

I'm moving about 20 miles away and I'm wondering if I really need to change my vehicle address. Going from a suburb to a city so I imagine my premium will go up if I do it. Would they be able to refuse to cover an accident if I don't make the change? Or can I still claim my vehicle is in the burbs?

You are supposed to notify them of any change in address, failure to do so could be grounds for denial. It depends on your company as to whether they take this kind of thing very seriously and the local laws as to whether they are allowed to drop you for this kind of behaviour. Although this might technically rise to the level of insurance fraud I doubt anyone would bother to prosecute you for it. Additionally, when you register your vehicle next year the insurance company will automatically get notified so you won't be able to cheat them for long.

But don't be a putz, just change your address.

Get on Geico.com or something and get a new quote with the new address to see if there would likely be an increase

Insurance fraud is a crime. Plus you're taking a huge risk that they could deny coverage in the event of an accident. Fender bender? No big deal. Multi-car accident with deaths/life-threatening injuries? Say hello to bankruptcy court. Don't do it!
