Bandana tied around the neck. Thoughts?

So I've seen this trend around places, mainly Ralph Lauren and I was wondering what you guys thought about it and/or if you could tell me more. I figure it was pretty popular in the 50s or so since I strangely remember it in various movies from that era.

you could totally dress like freddy from scooby doo.

but in all honesty, unless your in a Ralph Lauren Add, any neckwear like a bandana or cravat will look silly. Not even real cowboys wear bandanas like that anymore.

Says the guy from New York! I can vouch for the fact that this is not true.

And, I wholeheartedly support the wearing of bandanas around the neck. Aside from looking good in general (as long as they aren't too conspicuous), they can keep the cold winter wind from blowing down my shirt, and moistened on a hot summer day does wonders.

I agree with zissou. They're great when one is outdoors all day in the heat. They're nice to wear on long runs and on race days as well. I've seen a couple of my girlfriend's hipster sorority sisters wearing them as pictured above. Honestly, I think it looks good if you're the type of person that can pull it off; though, most wouldn't be able to. If you like the look, perhaps you should invest in some cravats. I would approach with caution and take the cravat talk over to MC.
