New guy here, thought I'd drop by. I'm a film planner and analyst for one of the biggest film studios here in Canada. My years of cinema geekdom feel somewhat justified...

I have to start up a round up buzzword bingo in my new office.

New job as of a week ago: I'm a sales engineer in the corporate foundation of a major software company with a unique model: the parent company gives us software licenses at no cost to us. Qualifying non-profits and higher ed institutions can apply for a small number of free licenses, and we sell them additional licenses at an 80% discount vs. the corporate price. All of the revenue that we earn goes back into our grant-making area, which usually takes the form of grants to NGOs to develop additional software on our platform, which we then help them to market to other NGOs. It sounds more like a ponzi scheme than it actually is smile.gif

I call in, adjust, and control all means of indirect fire support, to include: artillery, mortars, close combat aviation, and close air support for the US Army. In short, I make stuff go boom.
