I remember back in High School watching the Basquiat Movie and loving it... but seeing a documentary trumps it.
I personally think his art is overrated in the sense that I wouldn't really want it in my living room - but he did usher in the super young overexposed art superstar movement that works today in the art world and entertainment and sports.
basquiat is also an infamous member of the "27 years old club".
