How was the fit when you button the top button (if you have tried this)?

the top button was fine. the whole jacket fits me nicely, but the shoulders was just way too tight that you can see a lot of wrinkles due to the tightness of the shoulder even when just standing.

Due to the shoulder it also makes a bit of creasing behind the jacket collar. Funny enough when I button up the top button it actually feels/fits better. But I do look like a pimp );
I am not a expert on blazer fit(only learning by reading form this forum). One of the members fit of the same jacket. Bellow is the picture… I can see a bit of crease of the lapels. When lapels don’t sit relaxed on the chest doest it means not so good fit ? When I wear mine with middle button done it does similar. And do you think if I let out a bit form the side seam of chest this problem will be resolved ?
Sorry guys asking too many questions. I only started to learn about blazers not so long ago !

Everything fit exactly as I hoped for in that SC, you're right about some pulling that can show some creases, but its not on the lapels, and is around the middle button, mainly because its a tight fit, which I prefer in this case since its not too bad of a pull and its not too much where the button is ripping off. The armholes are all great, i'm small enough to warrant it. I would also say I was more concerned of taking pictures than standing straight/upright.

Thanks for answering my questions. I have worn the sc for 2 days. I think it somehow stretched a bit or may be its becos I have worn the jacket on the second day with really slim shirt with high arm hole.So now the front of the jacket shows very slight pulling. But of course my arm movement still a bit restricted );. yesterday I had a chance to measure this navy sc with my silk newbury sc. The navy sc has 1/2 inch shorter shoulder , chest and waist is about 1 inch slimmer and leanth is also shorter by 2/3 inch.

Does anyone wear their dress shirts in 14.5? Would really appreciate measurements. Also wondering if they have box pleats in the back (hope not).

However, there is no box pleat.

Ah I see. It looked like perhaps there was in pictures but it turns out it's a split yoke. How does it fit you? I'm hoping it's slim enough for my 34" chest.

Hmm you should be more than fine. I generally have enough room in collar/neck not to choke, and the chest and arms lay flat and are not too tight, but definitely not baggy.

No harm in trying since you can always easily return RL items or exchange for different sizes.

Sorry if I can't be more help, I need to get a new measuring tape for myself.

Yeah both 36r. The silk linen jacket is newbury cut. The navy one don't actually say its newbury. Anyway I hope all the newbury jackets has same measurements.

I wear a 15.5 and find that Rugby's shirts fit very well in the body. My only complaint is the sleeves are long, so make sure you budget that alteration into your purchase.

Well if you look at the tags inside the jacket it does say Newbury, maybe 'Tropical' just means its smaller all around.

I found the sleeves to have a standard lenght on my 15.5, same as the polo custom in same size.
Around 33/34 inches.

Tropical is the cloth, a plain weave summer fabric.

Well then It could just be 2 different factories using 2 different cuts. I will post some pictures of compression this evening. That’s the thing with blazers same manufacturers 2 different jackets fit differently even if they claim its the same cut.
