I need some shorts and some polos. I prefer rugby polos over Polo custom fit because of the the skeleton stands out...

I also need some summer belts.

the tie bar is cool.

yeah the skull is pretty great for conversation. My navy skull shorts and ties really get the convo going with people. Everyone seems to love the playfulness.

$25 off every $125 spent. Free shipping . code - RGBSAVE25.
Not a real sale );. My last blazer purchased from rugby managed to fit well with a small vest underneath. So yeah keen to pickup a navy blazer.

Question – The Italian wool/tropical Navy blazer vs the US blazer(classic Navy). Same fit ? US blazer is about $25 cheaper.

I got my son the Italian wool/tropical navy blazer and it seems pretty nice. He tried it on but hasn't worn it yet.

I needed shorts and chinos so used the code today. Has anyone noticed the university chinos are slimmer? I already have a pair in 31x32 and when I ordered another pair in the same size they were noticeably slimmer. I had to go up a size this time.

I would not assume they are the same fit. US Blazer might have a lower stance for the armholes. Both are probably similar in quality though.

I think I might grab a few things. its basically a 20% off sale. spend $250 - end up at $200 - not too shabby. Looking at some shorts, that umbrella tie bar, and a combination of belts, shirts and sweaters.

I went into the NYC university place location for the madras newbury jacket. $298 + taxes - $50 turned into $270. Not awful, but not that good. Unfortunately, I didn't have much of a choice to save on taxes, as online the only size left today is small. Why is inventory on this item so terrible?

I was wondering whether I'd need a medium or large, but I definitely had to go with large. 85% of my wardrobe is medium, but I need to put the fucking fork down or else that number will drop to 0.

Rugby inventory has never been large. That's why its best to purchase their items asap.

IMO, 270 is a lot for that jacket. Considering quality and not style of course.

I'm still debating in my head whether or not to purchase something or to wait.

I need some new swimming trunks, those regatta cotton trousers are nice, and some university chino shorts would be great too. But I'm always hitting 213 or 270 - i want to hit $250 on the dot and stroll out at $200 + FS +no Tax (MN)

With rugby though, I've never had a problem waiting for a given season to go on sale and snag stuff I earmarked in prior weeks in my size...ever. This jacket has been a rarity. I could understand missing a size or two during the end of the season, but when I got the e-mail showcasing madras stuff, they were down to small, medium, and XL. Yesterday, it was small only. Oddly, today, it is now small and large. On another point, the jacket seems to be cut smaller than others rugby carries. I fit well into a medium (a pale colored seersucker/pincord), but I needed a large in the madras.

Agreed on the price, especially considering it needed $30 of work to shorten the sleeves. What struck me was the overall nice fit and the vintage vibe. I am also on a madras binge. The other options were $220 on a sport coat from RL.com for $220 and limited size availability or a $400 Fitzgerald fit sport coat from Brooks Brothers. As for "Made in Macau", I quite frankly do not give a damn at this point, as I haven't had any problem with any garment I bought from Rugby with regards to construction quality (a leading advantage over J.Crew, IMO).

Yeah, I don't "get" J.Crew. Construction is terrible, styling is generally boring (ie preppy watered down to the lowest common denominator mall shopper), and the price points are laughable all things considered. And yet they have legions of cultists. Ralph Lauren takes shit on this forum for being a "mall brand", yet we have the J Crew catalog circle-jerk threads.

Wait, Mr. Porter will have everything you need for lower prices and it will probably be a lot nicer than Rugby. With free returns you really can't go wrong

What items? I wore a ton of rugby a few years ago in high school, can find what I need now in other brands.

Can anyone help me out?  I'm struggling to find Rugby OCBD's online that don't have any logos on them, do they make some like this?
