Rugby is running a "last call" sale for all summer stuff. Prices are previous sale prices less another 25%, although some are more, such as a t-shirt I had my eye on which went from $29.99 to $19.99. The size selection is surprisingly extensive for a clearance sale. I'm a medium in more or less everything, and I found everything I wanted in the color and size I wanted. If money were no object, of course, I would have bought more. I ended up with 2 sport shirts & a pair of socks for $70.

i placed a large order last night. wish i could purchase everything!
damn shipping to Australia is the killer though
I wonder if "last call" sales are a modus operandi. Having seen how deep the discounts go, I'll be a hard sell in the future for full retail. Personally, I can't wait for the after-Christmas bonanza.
From a fellow being completely new to Rugby and quite used to (and pleased with) Polo:
Anyone here who has views on the quality and fit of Rugby wool pants? I'm looking for some nice grey winter wool pants (size 32). From what I can tell from eBay listings, most of the Polo stuff is cut with huge leg openings of 9", whereas Rugby seems to be slightly slimmer. E.g. there are some listings with grey or navy (chalkstripe) pants made from 70% wool, 25% polyamide and 5% cashmere. These seem to have about 8" leg openings. Can anyone confirm and/or comment? Thanks.

No experience on the wool pants but make sure they are slim fit. Rugby has a few "relaxed fits" as well that as HUGE. But normal fits and slim fits will be relatively slim. Going off what I see on ebay they are probably regular fit, maybe slightly slimmer than Polo but not by much. I wouldn't pay $100 for those though, ones I've seen in stores before never seemed that nice.
I bought a pair of rugby pants off of ebay for a good price ($27 shipped). Fit wasn't commented on in the listing and they were VERY relaxed. It was almost a carpenter jean fit on a yellow chino. Straight off to the Korean lady they went for a tapering and hem adjustment, hehe.
