How do Rugby sweaters fit? Slim?

I am usually a large shirt in most brands but I usually size down for sweaters.

yes slim, just about everything in Rugby is 1/2 a size to a size slimmer. In terms of Sweaters its usually a 1/2 a size slimmer

I really enjoy Rugby's OCBDs. I'm sad to see them go. I like their color/stripe combos more than the "typical" OCBDs offered by Uniqlo. Where do you plan on getting good fitting OCBDs now that Rugby is leaving?

Extra Slim Fit BB is probably best bet

Scotch and Soda has nice shirts too, got a gingham one from them recently, first non-RL shirt purchase in maybe 5 years lol...but I liked it, fit was great and quality was excellent. Only complaint is the collar buttons are weird and tough to button up.

J Crew has decent shirts as well, but noticeable difference in quality

Just ordered a bunch of stuff, and decided to throw in the remaining bowtie too, since it's made in Italy. I also saw a TON of Rugby stuff at Marshall's before Christmas, so be sure to check your local stores out! One last hurrah before the whole line goes down the tubes.

I am not contradicting your reports in the least bit...

But wouldn't it still be a bit early for rugby leftovers to be hitting retailers of last resort like TJ Maxx/Marshalls? I would have thought that RL would wait a few weeks before doing a "Fall of Saigon" level of clearance.

There's been good flow of Rugby from Fall/Holiday '11 at Marshall's of late. Nothing recent is likely hitting.

Its been going on for a while. Some friends from where I use to live bought a few things from TJ Maxx in recent months. Its not too early for them to make this move, they want to close the brand completely by Feb 2nd. So why not move merchandise before the close, that way the deal to do so is complete before the close.

Remember this is corporate, they have a fixed deadline most likely and they need to adhere to that. They can't wait until after they are supposed to be closed to move their inventory.

True, but if retail stores will be open until Fed 2, why not see if they can't clear what's on the racks at retail'ish prices for awhile (until, say, MLK day?) before just dumping it for peanuts on the TJX buyers?

Well, randomkoreandude already noted that the Georgetown store is already emptied out basically (and that is one of their more primo locations). I'll try and swing by this weekend to see if the cafe is still going on too.

Hello, anyone interested in the tartan newbury blazer 36R? I got this blazer as a gift but it is too small (I'm a 38R, I wanted to make an exchange, but they said all sales were final :( I'm afraid I wont be able to get this blazer in a 38R) anyone wanting this 36R? PM your offers or reply to this thread. Thanks

In-store sales were pretty good. 40% off entire purchase, but items were priced so that that 40% discount was the same price as online. =\

Mall at Short Hills location had decent stock.

yeah went again and it is REALLY all cleaned out. nothing left except polos with big R's and a few pairs of khaki chinos and jeans. still everything at 40% off. so if you need something, website is your best bet

Interesting, sounds like the sales are working pretty well then. Still waiting for my order from last week to ship out.

randomkoreandude, you notice the Jack Wills that opened up next to Rugby recently? Strategic planning if you ask me haha
