'What if' WWI Question

Thread Starter
If the First Moroccan Crisis in 1905 would have led to world war, how would the world look now? Would it have eventually led to another world war (a version of WWII).... especially considering that many prominent members of the Nazi party, including Hitler and Goering would have not fought if war broke out in 1905?

i think what you're really asking is 'if conditions existed in which the nazis didn't come to power in 1933, would world war II still have broken out?" and the answer is: probably. the conditions that made WWII almost inevitable would have existed with or without the nazis. would they have existed if war broke out in 1905? nobody can say - i mean, what if germany won?

Einstein would have met with young Hitler and Nazi Party would have never been created, allowing the Stalin-led Soviets power and influence to grow virtually unopposed and spread across the Eurasian landmass. The nations of Europe created an alliance to fight back, becoming what is known as WW2. This David vs Goliath of a conflict came to an end when the Allies, led by a mysterious general, downed the Soviets. Stalin was known to have been killed - and with him the greatest evil ever known to the world...
Or so it seemed....

"What if" discussions about history are usually silly and never fruitful.

^^^ What movie/show/game was it that says for every decision you make, a new universe is created for each of the options you forgo, again? Interesting concept that I must say.

There are so many variables that it would probably take hours to work out the probability of WWII happening. That's not to say it wouldn't be an interesting exercise, though.

if WW2 did not happen then I am sure that I would not be what I am today. I think that is true for many People today.
