Boots are back from being dyed, I am happy.

Do not really like the laces I have...Much prefer flat/round laces. Anyone got recommendation for black round laces >= 60+ inches? Need to order ASAP. These leather .25" laces are not that great after a recommendation by Teger.

Cobbler could not dye the 2 set of olive waxed laces black due to the nature of it being waxed cotton, which came with the CP boot.

Leather is still very stiff where the tongue of the shoe is the most "butter". The cobbler stripped off the original brown color (non-alcohol base) then polished it with black oils. Breaking in will be a pain TBH, but I love the style. Also need to get some shoe trees.

Quick review of the suede chelsea:
The suede of the chelsea boot is very nice. Dare I say nicer than the leather on the wedged officer boot? Definitely more buttery and softer since it is suede. Slight heel that gives it a wedged look that I like very much.
If anyone has a size.41, please lmk! Unfortunately it seems I am CP size.41 (mystery solved)

Those look great. Turning them black was a good decision smile.gif

So... I could get a cobbler to get rid of the number code on my derbies by dyeing them? (They might have to do the whole shoe to make sure it's consistent? Blah.)

To kind of give you an idea

It is like the numbers look indented into the leather now without the gold stamping

Anyone know how the Postal Boots fit in comparison to other CPs?

Are they like the chukkas (size down) or the sneakers (TTS)?

I saw those on B&S lol

( I have no clue about sizing)

That's why I'm asking smile.gif

It's either these or the Red Wing Postman. The CPs feels a lot nicer to have, obviously, but are pretty damn rare.

Should i size down when purchasing the vintage bball high? or stay TTS, however my feet are quite wide. I'm a size 9

I sized up for bball lows and they fit quite well, actually the best made pair of CPs i own.

edit: i also am wide footed.

I would size down.

I wear a size 40 Achilles Low and the Postal Boots (in a 40; which I've sold) were definitely larger.

I found them to be a bit tighter in the toe than Achilles. If I could do it all over again I would have sized up one on the BBalls.
