To the guys who own the wedge sole derbies from this season:

How is the crepe sole holding up? Is it getting dirty very easy? I had a pair of Clarks DB's with a crepe sole some years ago and the sole collected all kinds of shit and lost its shape pretty fast. Was a pain in the ass to clean as well since the crepe sole were very soft and sticky. I know CP quality is better but still worth checking.

Also, when you say you should get your Achilles size, does that mean they fit TTS? I haven't tried on Achilles. I have a pretty wide 28.5cm foot usually making me a 44.5 or 10.5-11US. 44 in Achilles and the derbies then, right?

it was a pain in the ass to clean because crepe sole isn't meant to be cleaned

Alright, I can see it sounds a bit stupid.
Don't really know what a crepe sole is tbh.

Back to the point, does it get dirty easy? Is it spongy/very soft?

Thanks

can anyone do me a favour and measure the length of the sole and width at widest point please?

I would consider any sneaker made in Europe (made in Italy or Made in Portugal) to run 1 size bigger.

The fact is they all use the same rubber sole

Just got mine today so don't know whether it is easy to maintain or not.

First impressions are that the sole is quite soft and the the shoe is wider than the normal CP sneakers.

Do the Vintage BBall Hitops fit the same as the Achilles lo in insole length and width? (If I'm 43 in Achilles lo, I'm 43 in Vintage BBall?)

Eh, not really...I think they'd look better if they dropped either the contrast midsole or the wedge sole. Also, it looks a little short for a side-zip.

I have a 44 in both, and they fit similar. Toebox is maybe a little roomier in the Bball hi (more clearance top-to-bottom).

I see what you mean about the midsole, notwithit, but imo it adds colour and interest to the boot. Without it, there'd be nothing going on, they'd be too simple and black.

Dunno if I'll buy them though since I'm more wanting a side-zip without laces and they won't kill that want.
