Common Projects F/W 11-12 - Page 88

No, vintage just refers to the fact that the sole is yellow...

What do people think of this season's combat boot? Are they typical CP sizing?

This would have made sense if some models of Common Projects with yellow sole were also called vintage, which is not the case for a few of them

For example

Desert Boots

700

Safari Boots Nylon

700

The use of vintage if I'm correct was introduced SS 2009 for the Achilles vintage that were the only Achilles Vintage made with nappa leather (I think), next models of Achilles Vintage exclusively use Suede.

700

However I agree that nomenclature from CP is changing season after season, and I may have gone a bit fast to establish vintage is yellow sole + suede bi tone

or in a month if you save. then you can get them and wonder why you spent that on cp's. and feel even worse when they hit $200 end of season.

BBall Highs always go on sale at the end of the season with reasonable stock. I'd just wait! Plus I've seen multiple pairs in B/S drop as low as $150 or less.

As much as I love CPs, never thought their ever increasing retail prices were justifiable.

I'll give you the desert boots, but I'm not convinced that those Safari boots have a yellow sole, can't find pics anywhere other than that set from Oki Ni. If they are yellow that was the first time, but if they aren't straight white then my guess is just a slightly duller white

The vintage Achilles started in 2010, and they were nubuck. This is the season those white/green lows are from, they are nubuck like these

These ones in 2011 were leather though.

And 2012 is leather and suede

And then obviously the vintage BBalls for fw11 had yellow soles.

So the only connection between anything they call vintage is yellow soles.
Because it's yellow as if it's an old pair that has been sitting in a box for a while, same deal as the blazers Nike made. Fairly self explanatory.

The premium never had contrasting soles at all until this season and they have never had yellow soles so I don't see how the BBalls are related to premiums at all.

Comes down to they can call it whatever the fuck they want and they don't owe it to anyone to stick to any rigid material standard, though I personally think they have kept it awfully simple and you are putting way too much thought into it.

Ssense has some on sale. Low whites are $273, but not many sizes are left.

Anyone know when TBS will do a restock for sizes?

Want to use my coupon on a pair of low whites there but they ran out of my size weeks ago.

^TBS restocks once per season usually, but I would email them they're very helpful.

my BBalls sole has turned yellow over the last 4 years..

Looking for some sizing help...I'm a 12 in Chuck Purcells, but my feet are on the wide side. I know these run narrow and I have a wide(ish) foot. I am an 11E in the Allen Edmonds 5-last, 10.5D in the Alden Barrie last (which runs slightly wide). Any input? Will a size 44 likely fit me?

Can anyone here who has the premiums confirm for me that there is still about half an inch of space at the front of the shoe?

Im thinking of selling my low white achilles and getting the premiums, but do the prems also have alot of space due to the taper at the front?

All of them are the same, they all use the same sole. CPs are just very long and narrow so if you have a medium or wide sized foot then there will always be space in the front.

^except the shoes and boots which have a bigger toebox
