Stupid question, but what makes those "premium"? The lip was the only way I could tell them apart. confused.gif

The only differences I see are:

- white sole
- tan lining

Is the leather different or something?

Padded leather on the inside. Its "chunkier" all round your foot.

I looove that thinner sole, that was probably the one thing that was holding me back on copping some CPs. Ordered some greys from TBS, but if I like them I might get a pair of the blacks too... $300 ain't so bad relative to the prices my local store sells the Achilles for

The sole yellows over time on the older ones. It seems that I haven't really noticed it on the newer ones.

I'd wager that's because your newer ones haven't been sitting in a box for two years. It's not just CPs that it happens to either.
