Anxiety and tongue

So lately I have been under a great amount of stress, and I have this feeling like my tongue is too big for my mouth and I also clench my teeth. Well, the combo has let me to develop some raw spots on my tongue from the rubbing. So my questions are:
1) Has anyone had stress/ anxiety to lead to this?
2) Any way to make it go away? Both the raw spots and the "large tongue feeling".

Any help would be appreciated.

Many people clench their teeth from stress. I would say, for the mouth sores, gargle with an equal amount of peroxide and water mixed together, 2x per day.

As for your tongue feeling too big for your mouth, it seems like that is a symptom of the anxiety. So, it might help to try to deal with whatever is causing the stress. Relaxation exercises, self-care, and therapy may be good outlets.

To relax, do Doubletime Breaths - Breathe In 1-2-3, Breathe Out 1-2-3-4-5-6

Whatever the inhale time is, double the exhale time.

Chew some really minty gum, like Polar Ice

Can you find that 'holy basil' at a place like GNC?

the tongue can be too big for the mouth. it's not an uncommon problem. you are probably just noticing it. I always have teeth impressions on my tongue. anxiety can cause teeth clenching and I do it daily.
