Upgrading my point-n-shoot from a Nikon Coolpix S700?

I'm pretty sure my Coolpix is from 2007. Nice little camera, but I'm heading off for a long vaca and I'm wondering if there's anything in the $300ish range that beats it by a noticeable margin. I don't really keep up with camera technology but I understand there's some new technologies out there that have filtered down to the compact camera level. Maybe something with interchangeable lenses?

You're not gonna get an interchangeable lens camera at that price unfortunately. Those tend to run $600 or so.

Not sure what your Coolpix's specs are but you might wanna check out the Canon S95.

s90/95 I've had one over a year and its my go to pocket cam. It should more then suffice
