Asian guys are in a very poor position here.
I have heard it is tough for Asian guys even within their own community since they outnumber girls by a wide margin.

When I move to Shanghai I want girls to know that I am a rich man from America, not some Chinese country bumpkin but I don't know how to broadcast that to them. Maybe I will wear a cowboy hat, jeans and boots and insist that everyone call me 'Tex'.

Having gone out with a few authentic Japanese girls (who couldnt speak Engrish), they wouldnt consider dating a white guy. I was an exception of sorts since I was, as they described, "an American that looks Japanese". But I'm sure there's plenty of "white boy" fetishists there. Re: Roppongi, that place makes it seem like I never went to Japan as everyone seems to speak English and you see SOOO many foreigners that it almost doesnt feel like Tokyo.

I didnt from my ex's family because since they're gangstaz, a lot of their good friends are Korean (who make up a decent chunk of the Yakuza). And I look more *** than Korean...interestingly I get mistaken for being Japanese when I'm in Korea and have had more than one salesperson start speaking to me in Japanese without hearing me say a word. They must have aced the www.alllooksame.com quiz!
