If you can get BBC iPlayer the Latest Country Tracks Episode was on Northampton with a nice little feature right at the beginning on both the Shoe Museum and Trickers (link here)

Havent a clue how you get it if you aren't in the UK though.

Depressing populism the bit where she says bespoke shoes could (implicit - OMG!!!!) cost over £1000.
