I don't think Long will be at Reading come the end of the season - I know we (WBA) were also interested in him.

Well out of the four of us starting two scored 7 and two scored 2, not the most auspicious start smile.gif

I'm not going to panic yet as transfers are limited...

And the leader is on 37 - Looks like we do not know the Championship. I was on 2 so I panicked

I was on two, panicked too, transferred four.

Very happy to see Derby County getting the 3 points against Birmingham. I should now start following this for real.

I may be mistaken but I think I've got 11 points in week 2. Hope that will improve my league standing. smile.gif

Also: I made my 5th and final transfer for the month. Had to let Shane Long go... maybe I will now get him to my Premier League fantasy team.

Did I mention that Derby County is undefeated at 6 perfect points?

I was very pleased with 12 points this week but find East Kent far ahead of everyone. Who are those guys?

The championship fantasy is more absolute than the EPL fantasy league. It's always plenty of points or nothing at all. So, I guess it can swing quickly...but the key is to get a team of competitive injury free players with good chances of scoring or keeping clean sheets.

Trading the maximum 5 per month should probably happen early in the month and be based on scientific studies and lots of whisky.

I got lucky wk2 - it was exactly the same team I played wk1 (Captain included) but this week they did me pretty well.

Just made three transfers though smile.gif new improved East Kent albion hopefully!

Be careful with transfers - it's a long season and you only get 30...

There was a midweek round played. Guess I didn't do too poorly collecting another 10 points. This fantasy league is hard!! I have now spent all my 5 allowed trades for August... eagerly awaiting September.

Southampton, Brighton and Derby on top - all three with perfect 9 points. Who would have guessed this a couple of weeks ago??

Up you Rams!

I was expecting Brighton to have a decent start to the season, but as to the other two... smile.gif

I'm finding the defence and goalkeepers seem to be eating my score each week - it's really tricky to predict clean sheets.

I am going backwards fast and I have no transfers left

I somehow doubt these three will all remain in the top for too long. But I am delighted as long as it lasts.

Yes I have noticed that too, in this league it appears to be as important to avoid negative scores as it is to collect points. This is a fantasy which could easily turn into a nightmare.

I am counting 0 points from my Saturday. I still have 3 players left to play but this is very depressing indeed!
If anyone had Ipswich defenders or goalie in the team.... -7 points for any defensive Ipswich pick!!

Thankfully no Ipswich players, but it hardly looks a great week...
