Unfortunately the sad news comes as no surprise. The number of people coming forward as her best friend is somewhat ironic.

A major talent. Drowned by her drinking and undone by drugs. Another cautionary tale we don't need. When she was in control she had a great voice and sound. Fantastic stage set and good musicians. A sad and tragic conclusion to a very troubled young person. From many accounts she was a very sweet person at heart. RIP, Miss Amy - you were great.

I feel like we've just been watching a slow suicide and now that it's over realize that there was indeed absolutely nothing that could be done about it. How many people, professionals, and institutions do you think offered their services free of charge just to get her cured? She was not going to have any of that.

yeah but if you have people around you egging you on and denying the obvious then it is just a question of how soon will she die

There is a saying that the candle burns that burns twice as light, also burns out twice as quickly.. She a lot into those 27 years and will be missed.

Read something about her place being robbed following her death. Suggested that it was done by a friend or someone who had access to her place and that unreleased recordings, lyric books, and personal items were taken
