Levi's 511 Commuter Line - Page 2

I picked up both the denim and the jacket. For some reason Levi's slept on shipping these out to my local store, but did a special order on the jeans and jacket for me. I got a 31 in the jeans and a medium in the jacket, and they both fit great. Definitely stoked to try these out on my bike (particularly in a light rain) once I get back from holidays.

Ahh. I overlooked the fact that the trucker is in the "classic" cut so it might not be as slim as I thought it was?

Brattman, could you button the jacket up and measure the pit-2-pit, the shoulders and waist for me?

How are these working out for people? When I tried them on, I thought the thighs were pretty tight, esp for something they expect to sell to cyclists, but that's to be expected from a 511 cut I guess. They do stretch a bit, so maybe that's okay?

Also, how's the crotch for actual riding? They supposedly reinforced it, but it seems the normal pattern, no gussets or extra panel on the saddle. How is that 4-pointed nub where all the seams come together working out?

As someone who is used to biking in stiff raw denim, these jeans feel like a dream! They're very soft and flexible, and I don't find them restricting of movement at all.

If you look on the inside of the jeans, you can see the second layer of material that serves as reinforcement. We'll see how well it holds up after several months of riding.
