Levi's 511 Commuter Line - Page 2

I picked up both the denim and the jacket. For some reason Levi's slept on shipping these out to my local store, but did a special order on the jeans and jacket for me. I got a 31 in the jeans and a medium in the jacket, and they both fit great. Definitely stoked to try these out on my bike (particularly in a light rain) once I get back from holidays.

Ahh. I overlooked the fact that the trucker is in the "classic" cut so it might not be as slim as I thought it was?

Brattman, could you button the jacket up and measure the pit-2-pit, the shoulders and waist for me?

How are these working out for people? When I tried them on, I thought the thighs were pretty tight, esp for something they expect to sell to cyclists, but that's to be expected from a 511 cut I guess. They do stretch a bit, so maybe that's okay?

Also, how's the crotch for actual riding? They supposedly reinforced it, but it seems the normal pattern, no gussets or extra panel on the saddle. How is that 4-pointed nub where all the seams come together working out?

As someone who is used to biking in stiff raw denim, these jeans feel like a dream! They're very soft and flexible, and I don't find them restricting of movement at all.

If you look on the inside of the jeans, you can see the second layer of material that serves as reinforcement. We'll see how well it holds up after several months of riding.

what's the size like on the commuter jackets?

i'm about 5'8" with a 38 chest. the levis website says i ought to be buying a size S but the reviews on them don't say much as to whether they're actual fit, or are a bit small.

cheers. sliq.

Still wearing them, in them right now. So coming up on 8 months of wear (swapped to shorts in summer). They've held up well. The water-resistance is rubbish after the 1st few time they get soaked. I've not blown the crutch or any stitches.

They've worked out pretty well. Not amazed by them and the spandex gets annoying (I like my MIJ's). I've never warn them if not riding. I've not popped them up to expose the selvage (incase it catches in the chain).

They're pretty close to what they say on the tin. I'm likely to be riding in a pair of APC's again after this pair, either that or Osloh....

I just oicked up a pair of darkest spuce(dark forest green) 505 commters pants in size 32x30. Im 5'7 175. They are considerably smaller than normal 505 jeans. I wold say they fit more like the 513 on me. I have fairly musclar thighs and stupid large calves(about 17" around). So take with a grain of salt. The stretch helps though. I also picked up a pair of the red 511's too. They fit skin tight at first but loosened a little. But the stretch makes them go back to their original size arfterwards. I only wear those around the house. lol

We have a small left in the store.

Shoot me an email, jonathan@shoplostfound.com if you'd like to grab it.

Best,
