Beverly Hills LeatherSoulHawaii Trunk Show. I met finally met Phillip Carr in person. I could easily tell that he is passionate about StC shoes and his craft. He also had kind words for Carmina shoes and the owners. I learned a a lot about my feet and proper sizing.

StC shoes were something else to behold in person. I think my favorite was the U Cap and the Austerity in Burgundy, both chiseled last. There was also a surprise Trunk Show of another infamous pant maker...Ambrosi. Prices for Ambrosi have gone up significantly, not sure if there is an up charge through LSH than Ambrosi directly.

Flying down tomorrow to see Philip Car. Will see how it goes.

Amberosi costs how much now? $1.5k+ or I am underestimating the demand?

Great Chogall. You're very close to the price, a bit less. I had a hard time with the colors. Hard to tell from swatches. Any idea if StC lists their color code? ie 608 is a medium brown.

That is not too bad compare to luxury retail pants.

Who's the Asian dude on the right of Ambrosi Jr?  He's wearing Ambrosi pants?

Only played around with StC at LS Royal Hawaiian Center, my conjecture is that "CRU" means crust leather.

Not sure who the Asian guy is. I believe he is wearing Ambrosi pants. Correct CRU is crust leather. But color variations 606 vs 607 vs 608, I was wondering how they varied.

^ is that what you ended up ordering? Need some input. For StC model 523 below, should I leave the lines for the U cap or add brogueing like the Carmina model? Thank you.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100

No. Just thought its a clear way to decipher SC's naming convention. And Philip Car has pretty good dB of all things ordered.

I ordered simple black quarter brogue. 522B. In black crust.

I would go sans broguing if there's no medallion.

I preferred the StC version sans brogue it's much cleaner looking.

I have the 523 on chiseled last and, for me, the attraction was the clean lines of the u-cap.  leave them as is, you will love them.
