Really happy with how the new pattern came out. Can't wait to see how they fit, especially with how getting sized in person has been different from what I've typically done in the past. These are 9E (narrow) with +3mm to the instep.  Whereas I've been taking 9.5UK with high instep lasts (like those from Enzo) or sizing up to 10UK for those without.

Had these waiting at home for me since Monday as I was off at a conference.  Thanks so much to Amechi and the other fine gents at the Armoury for getting me sized and this new pattern made up!

Just in time for fall!  Not a bad way to pop my St. Crispin's cherry.

Casual fridays and the forecast is for a dry cloudy day...so the chukkas come out for another appearance.

So one of the major things that really surprised me with my new pair of St. Crispin's is how damn thick the leather they use is! Is this pretty common across all their styles?  I'm actually having quite a bit of trouble buckling them up because the leather is almost too thick for the buckles!

Actually on closer examination it's because it looks like there's three pieces of leather (although they're all fairly thick).  The outer leather, the lining, and another leather in the middle.  Pretty interesting.
