Incredible wholecut @chifromdachi! A number of your pairs would be on my shortlist of "StC Thread" pair of the year. nod[1].gif

@TtownMD, love the V-caps! I have the green suede pair in crust and love it. I'll admit that it's probably best in suede though. I noticed you're taking them both in the chisled last, and specific reason beside asthetic/personal preference?

Also, is it just me or is the chestnut color close to the lighter shades of the Russian Calf color?

If you have it ship to the US then it's full VAT refund, though you have to pay shipping (never bought from Skoab so I don't know if they charge shipping)? and potentially custom in the US

I was (perhaps mistakenly) under the impression their prices now includes the whole shebang (shipping, duties, VAT, etc). I'd LOVE to hear this is not the case!

Edit: my mistake. I thought you were referring to the US site...

Ok let's get this sorted out.

US clients will automatically be directed to our US site - as long as you are surfing from within the US that is. We do not allow US orders from our "International" site. Don't get me started on the whys because it's complicated. Any order placed in the US from our US site includes any US customs & FedEx handling fees - and will be billed in US dollars so there won't be any currency exchange fees or anything like that. What you see is what you get. The US site is completely adjusted for US clients and US clients only.

A non EU resident who shops at our brick and mortar store in Stockholm can get a VAT refund slip to get a partial refund of the VAT - the refund is not the full Swedish 25% VAT becuase the Global Blue company that handles this cuts between a few percent (don't know the exact amount).

A person shopping online from outside the EU will automatically see and shop at prices less VAT. But local taxes and customs is the buyer's responsibility. The only exception is StC MTOs - when a non EU (and non US) client buys these from us you will get quote that is less VAT but include your local taxes and customs. It's an understanding we have with this manufacturer.

For full details please read the shipping info on our site. I hope everything is clear now guys, just email us if you need further clarification. Or post in our thread.

Hey gents,

Can someone please elucidate me on what these are in the photo posted below?

Also do you just keep these in when you put in shoe trees or do you toss away?

Thank you!

Thank you!

They are desiccants - to keep moisture out of the box when shipped. Toss'em in the trash

I kept mine...sort of fun to drop them in the hollow trees when I put the shoes away. Also, I like to keep absolutely everything that ships with my shoes...down to the tissue in the box. I'm not saying it's necessary...perhaps I'm just strange that way. :-)

I went standard and then about 4 weeks in decided to upgrade to express, so about 7 weeks. I was originally quoted 10-12 weeks.

I'm now at four months (mid-March) waiting on my order. And radio silence from my retailer, who apparently isn't having any of their shoes made because they don't pay their StC bills.

This is How You Ensure You Don't Get Repeat Customers 101...
