I've just returned from a most enjoyable and educational hour with Phillip Car and the team at Double Monk Sydney at the Saint Crispin trunk show.

I ended up going with this model

http://www.saintcrispins.com/mod-535s/

with a chiselled last, in a deep brown (Edward Green doak or thereabouts), solid brown toe cap with some burnishing, and subtle goose feathering on the vamp and heel, and matching suede facing.

Due in June.

Well, I just came from the same trunk show at Double Monk Sydney myself. Mr Car and the entire team was spectacular, and I got to learn more about my shoes than I have ever had through my own research.

Given my future work trajectory, I settled for a more conservative pair in black. I made a mistake of not making an appointment but the team was able to help nonetheless.

http://www.saintcrispins.com/mod-574-2/

Glad to be joining the club. Looking forward to a lifetime of joyful wear.

These are excellent choice, a timeless classic really. Philip Car is a great guy and very knowledgeable, you'll definitely enjoy this pair!

Cheers!

If I'm not mistaken, your first pic is the model 574? It's such a spectacular pair when I got to see it in person.

Can't wait for June now

@mclassic101   that first last (black captoe) is elegant .  Looks similar to EG202, just classic.

Fantastic, all of them. This color though is really the show stopper. What's the color code for it?

All StC take polish extremely well I'd say.

Based on my extensive collection of 2 pairs :)
