Yeah, i'm looking forward to getting them.

I've amassed so many shoes now that I'm really only interested in getting shoes that are truly unique to me and in terms of styling.

I also should say that I saw the model 564 that @patrickBOOTH ordered and it is gorgeous. I also was not a fan until I saw it in person. I was seriously considering also ordering this model. I very much the interesting shape of the cap toe brogue. Only seen this shape on one other shoe ever and it was a derby by Bestetti.

I definitely get that.

I may have not quite got there yet, but I am certainly looking to only getting very special items mostly at this point.

They had some really great shoes on display.

I really also liked a short wing austerity brogue that they had.

I really liked the leather FUN burgundy. The FUN burgundy is more of a cherry red whereas the CRU burgundy is a little more of a true darker burgundy color.

I also saw their seamless wholecut in aubergine. I didn't know that the seamless wholecut was $2600...like $1000 more than their other shoes. Nonetheless, I really loved the color and will probably order another shoe in this color at some point down the road. I understand the difficulty of this...but I dont understand why the big markup.

One thing I will be critical of is the lasts.

I really like their classic and riva lasts. The classic is a classic round toe and the riva is a little more modern round. However, I find their chiseled last to be pretty unappealing. It doesnt have the sleek sexy refinement of G&G's TG73...and I wouldn't even begin to compare it to the beautiful chiseled lasts of Bestetti. The StC chiseled toe is boxy and stubby IMO.

For those who have SC models with leather laces. Do you have any problems with the laces?

No I do not have problems with them...but don't repeatedly pull on them very hard because they will snap...

I've always considered the slightly ' puffed ' toe of the Riva from a distance but it has been a while since I've seen it up close.
what's your opinion of it ?

Why not go bespoke?

Went to the trunk show today and ordered a pair of the 546s.....

Just like these in the Riva last -

700

But in a double sole. I wanted to do a slight variation of these, but the way it looked was already so damn perfect....

I can't immediately think of a RTW brand that executes the wholecut as well as St. C. Like @PCK1 , I struggle with the value equation of the seamless Simply when the regular wholecut looks every bit as nice from almost any angle of view. I guess I'd rather put the difference toward a second pair. But if my pockets were deep enough to render such considerations moot, I'd grab the Simply in a heartbeat.

In my experience the classic and riva can almost be indistinguishable depending on the style of the shoe. You literally have to hold it up parallel to your eyes to see the bump at the toe. I agree on the comments on the chisel last. Sometimes it looks good, but again not with every style.

Wow, that is one great-looking wholecut.
