Pants ain't mini skirts. There's no need to bend over to reveal your ankle that no one wants to see.

Peg them like SC peg the soles.

Can personal lasts/last adjustments only be done during SC trunk shows?

No.

Also consider that cotton pants may shrink over time, so we can give him a get out of jail free card.

But the point stands that everyone at the Armoury wears their clothes at least a size too small.

Nope - we're happy to do last adjustments and personal lasts in person at all of our shops.  Phillip has trained us and we've actually already created some interesting personal lasts for certain hard-to-fit customers.  For instance, a Saint Crispin's H width up front (widest) with additional 5MM fitting pieces and a narrow regular width rasped heel!  It's pretty cool stuff.

Interesting. I'm hoping that, by using my current shoes as "testing pairs" and having modifications made to my new personalized last, having them re-lasted will bring the shoes very close to an excellent fit.

I understand additional pieces for the width of the foot and heel bone spurs will be added along with lowering the top line slightly under the ankle. I'm not sure if all of those modifications can be included for the re-lasting, but surely for any new pairs. If I see Phillip again in the future, I might discuss raising the arch by rasping off some wood from that area but I'll leave it for now.

For what it's worth I have hard to fit feet so the fact that this personalized last option exists is a coup for me.

Agree with @Chogall and Jeff, I've spoken to Philip at a trunk show and Armoury staff and agree personalized last orders can be obtained from either.

Is it weird that I would like pictures of it when the last is complete?

IME, the 'relasting' is meh.  They do not rebuild the shoes from the ground up and new soles will cost extra $250.  After the said relast the shoes feels, pretty similar to the original.  My conjecture is that they use some shoemaking techniques such as heating and stretching to modify the upper fit.

The personalize last MTO option is very good for anyone who's hard to fit without going full bespoke.

May I ask what you specifically requested wrt the relasting? Did you change from RTW sizing to your personal last? And did it entail making the shoe smaller or larger?

I've said it before and I will say it again. I honestly think many people don't need last customization, but people opt for it just to say they have a customized last. Unless, of course, Phillip realizes that their lasts are not fitting the majority of people where their stock will just be adjusted over time to accommodate more people.
