Don't get me wrong, I appreciate leffot regardless of the one bad experience.  I've ordered from them numerous times, but my experience is that ordering direct, while possibly slightly more expensive, means a VAT deduction which makes it considerably more economical...  I've ordered more pairs from leffot in total, but have since switched to ordering direct.

no frills: as Steven would say: 👍👍👍

I have only good experiences with Leffot. However, I was only in the shop once for a StC trunk show. They do let you look around on your own, but I never felt ignored by any means. In fact, Steven approach my girlfriend and I and assisted us while we were waiting to talk to Phillip.

Che has also been great to work with and very prompt with emails.

In fact, I hope to get an EG MTO soon, depending on the current turnaround time.

Picked up my pair today icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Thought I was getting seamless but miscommunication with Phillip I guess, Leather Soul made in right. Fit is spot on, will take some photos in a bit

Essentially this shoe (photo by Ethan at the Armoury) here but slightly darker burnishing:

One day I will be cool enough to wear green shoes.  Those are terrific - congrats!

I was thinking of ordering one of these (no cap, or medallion or other toe embellishments) in either calf or Cordovan...

Should I go classic last as in the picture or try the novello?  Also does the cordovan make the shoe less sleek or somehow bulkier either where the welt is or just overall?

Some photos, depth of color is amazing (CRU 5972 made a bit darker), classic last

I think either last would work with that style. It just boils down to how 'dressy' you want the end result to be.

Classic is more casual, while the novella is sleeker and dressier. Opinions are opinions tho.

I was trying to make the boot more casual on the novella by toning it down through the use of the highly textured shrunken calf in that particular color.

Real life will tell the tale but I think it's going to do exactly what I wanted.

ps: the use of shell cordovan won't make the shoe bulkier in any way.
