Pushups train muscle endurance, and not strength (unless you are a weakling to begin with). I train for strength and muscle endurance - I do lots of bodyweight exercises a couple of says a week, but I also lift with heavy weights (5x5, etc).

Yup. It has helped me keep my muscle mass though as I haven't had a gym membership for months.

i would like to tackle this challenge but 4 hours sounds quite long and i think i'll be bored and go do something else...
i think the 1000 in an hour challenge sounds like a lot of fun
i can probably do 500 in an hour right now
