Tie Room ties?

I recently happened upon tieroom.com. They claim to be a Swedish company. Their normal width ties are mostly 8 cm, something that's hard to find here outside the upmarket makers. $25-30 with free shipping to the US. Did a quick search, and there's nothing on this company here. I don't expect very good quality, but I was wondering if anybody owns one of their ties and can attest to how well they knot, how thick they are, etc.

@wysiwyg, my name is Christian and I represent Tieroom.com. I'm glad you have found our site and that you like what you see. I'm here to convince you that with us you truly do get what you see :)

We usually let users discuss our products without intervening but as no one has responded to your query I thought I'd make you an offer. I'll send you one of our neckties for free. All I ask in return is that you, after receiving and trying it on, post an honest review back here on the forum. If you liked the tie you are welcome to pay for it afterwards but if you weren't happy you can just keep it without paying.

some nice patterns there. where's the dimple? i don't like the look of how these are tied.

can i get a free tie too? i guarantee a full review and all, unemployed at the moment so lots of free time

@GHo As we do everything possible to make sure the pictures reflect what the ties look like in real life, we've chosen to not put a dimple in there. A dimple creates shadows and can give the wrong idea of the pattern and color.

@juvefan Thanks but this is not something we normally do and I'll wait for wysiwyg to take me up on the offer. If he choses not to I'll be happy to let you do the review instead.

@juvefan: since wysiwyg is not responding to my offer, I'll be happy to send you a tie and let you write a full review here on the forum. Email your address to christian@tieroom.com.

fantastic customer service... i can see their website crashing due to an overload of SF members checking it out

Definitely an interesting selection, site seems a bit slow to load.

Styles really remind me of H&M though peepwall[1].gif

Shit. I missed the obvious sarcasm and went straight there.

I ordered 3 ties from the site some months ago.
Wool ties, they had one of the better wool tie selections I have found yet online. The ties are all very thick hence the knots are quite big and full.
However one of the ties had some kind of manufacturing error, there was a visable line running down the entire tie about an inch from one of the sides. I never bothered to contact the company for a refund.
When I bought the ties it was for about 30 dollars each, good price and IMO the quality was decent. Like the old saying you get what you are pay for.

@MrChris You get what you pay for, true. We have never claimed to compete with $100 italian ties, we do though believe we crush all competition in our price range. An error like the one you happened to come across is very uncommon and we are very sorry it slipped through our quality checks. Of course we want to make things right, email me at christian@tieroom.com and I'll make sure a new tie is shipped to you ASAP.

@wysiwyg I haven't heard from juvefan so the offer is still on the table.
