I got the gray waxed ones from Macys, not sure but it might be the zaha model.
The fit is damn good, like really good. It's kinda anti-fit in the thighs with a very nice taper and leg opening (7.75" on 33's). They're pretty damn ideal for anyone with thighs and ass but still want something that looks slim yet comfortably relaxed. I'm kinda worried about washing them because they have the whole rigid tag deal on them, and they feel waxy. Will probably have to do a gentle hand wash and see what happens.
What's annoying however is Levi's sizing. I'd buy these in black in a heartbeat but the black model has a much more dramatic taper and leg opening, for the same waist size.
Tangentially, I've been trying to find some cheap washed levi's and found some decent 511s at UO. But the hem actually gets SMALLER when I sized up from 32 to 33. WTH? Does not compute.
Prolly just a manufacturing discrepancy.
I just pulled the trigger on a pair of 513's from Levi with 40% off via FLASH40. The 511's I tried were terrible, idk, maybe if i was 13 they'd work.
I've lost about 10 pounds in the last couple months, used to wear 34/33 but am now buying 32's. The 513's I bought in 32 fit perfectly. In fact, best fitting jeans I've ever owned. Haven't washed them yet, but I think they will still be good.
Finally, a Levis cut that works for me. Or a cut from any make - I've always had trouble finding jeans that fit.
For slim guys the 513 is WAY better than the 514, which for me always flare at the upper thigh. The 513 fits all the way down my leg.
I'm 99% pleased with them. The only issue is that in my size (30-inch waist) the taper at the ankle is a little much, but I can live with it.
As a long-time Levis customer I've noticed they have changed their sizing, but a lot of garment manufacturers have done that, possibly to make Americans feel better about their increasing waistlines. My true waist measurement is 32", and the Levis jeans I purchased in 2003 are true to fit. Now however I must buy 31" or even 30".
For the 513 I'd advise sizing down 1" from what feels comfortable in the store. The jeans will stretch over time and look a little baggy if you don't size down. For me that meant going for 30" in the 100% cotton models, and 29" in the ones with 1% Elastine.
