Slightly higher rise, slightly slimmer in the thighs and a taper that the 514 doesn't have. The 514 was what I wore before but hated how wide they were at the bottom. The rise and fit, especially in the calf/ankle, are better IMO.

Macy's near me has the 513 in rigid black (overdyed?).  Totally blacked out, even the back patch, buttons and stitching.

Looked a lot better than the washes available on the website.

I think that is the one that is waxed?

If you wash it, it turns to shit.

It did have the little Levi rigid warning tag, says something like "these are unwashed and will shrink and fade like crazy".

Was it this one?

511's have a black pair (black onyx) that is waxed and when washed it looks like crap.

Not too positive if the 513 is also of that waxed denim type.

Those seem to be what I tried on in the store.  Not familiar with the waxed 511's so hard to say, but I'm pretty sure the 513's are just dry/rigid.

Does anyone have dimensions for a 513? I'm particularly curious to know what the leg opening is.

Read the rest of the thread. Measurements are there.

Thanks, found 'em. Will the measurements change dramatically for a 29/30 waist? That's more in line with my size. If anyone out there has a pair 513s in a 29 waist, I'd be incredibly grateful if they could post measurements/pics!

The bottoms and the front rise don't change but the thigh measurement does. I'm really a 32 but 34's fit me better due to my hockey thighs. I ordered both 32's and 34's but while the 32's fit better in the waist, the 34's fit me better overall.

Do you consider the "neppy" wash a strictly casual wash (i.e. goes with a t-shirt and sneakers) or is it versatile enough to wear with an oxford and blazer? I've yet to see it in person, but I'm considering ordering a pair from Levi's website. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger out of concern for whether or not it can be used in a smart casual outfit. Thoughts?

I would say they could be worn with blazer, out of all the Levi's Ive found this one to be by far the best fit.

Wear mine with oxfords all the time.

Have your rinsed neppy's stretched at all since you bought them? How's the waist holding up?

I haven't noticed them permanently stretching. They'll loosen up a bit over a few wears but once they're washed they get back down to size.
