I am heading into interview season with law firms and I need to get a nice interview suit. I've been searching and reading many threads on this site and am coming to the conclusion that Macy's, Jos. A. Bank, etc., are not the best way to go.
I can't spend thousands on a suit right at the moment, so I am debating between a nice Brooks Brothers suit on sale, $700 or so, versus a few eBay brands I have never heard of until reading this site: Baroni, M. Valentino, or Danielle from Style-Wizard (guess he used to be Wizard of Ahhs?), all of which are about $300.
Obviously, $300 is better than $700 on the wallet, but I've only owned crap suits until now so I would prefer to get something that is going to be respectable quality.
I appreciate any comments or suggestions. FWIW, looking at a navy suit, perhaps with a subtle stripe, to go along with oxblood Bostonian shoes (didn't know about AE lol) and white shirt. Thanks!
