Best Wellies

Since I won't be wearing these for style and frankly don't care how they look, I thought this should go in General...

Who makes the most comfortable and durable Wellies? I don't care if they only come in baby-shit-yellow color, but I need them to fit well. There is no way I will be caught wearing one of these in real life in the city, but I seriously do need them to stomp around mud in the field.

Aigle are the best and most durable wellies. Le chameau is also good, but Hunter is certainly not the reference for high quality wellies.

Definitely not Hunter, the shafts are always too tight-fitting on the calf.

My pair of Hunter Glentrool have served me well for over 8 years of shooting and general outdoor stuff and do not suffer from the above. These days though I doubt you could get the same again so Le Chameau next methinks.

Another vote for aigle. My pair of parcours are amongst the most comfortable shoes (including slippers) I have ever owned. The better hunters are ok, although overpriced, the entry level ones are crap. Le chameau and dubarry are good. Any high quality rubber welly will want a little more care than cheap rubber (basically clean mud off if storing for a long time) but are much more comfortable and durable apart from that.
