I've been hearing about this. The uploader works using Flash, so that should be upgraded, if it is outdated. However, I've heard to not working on newer systems as well. Could you email the issue, including browser and OS, to styleforum.net@gmail.com? I'm compiling data on this to try to get to the root of the problem.

You should try to hit the "Submit and add Another" button instead of the "Submit" button. Your ad will be at the top of the page and thumbnails of the photos will show up when they are finished uploading. This is the only way I've found to effectively monitor the progress of the photo uploads to the SF system.

Big time vote for "take it out back and shoot it" over here, kind of confused by the "well, I hate it, but I'm sure I'll get used to it!" attitude. A lot of good ideas at play in the implementation, but it's broken as hell. I'd initially tried posting my threads in the archival forum because I saw that it was getting just as many views as the new one and still retained the old format, but no new posts allowed.

I don't want to seem like I'm complaining nor do I want to add to the work of the moderators (I've bought a lot and sold a bit in the B&S section), but I was wondering if there could be a designated symbol or picture for a 'megathread' or a 'closet clearance' thread. I've noticed that with the new system, due to the presence of pictures, I look at the pictures first and, if I see something I like, I then look at the title of the thread. If there could a set symbol (a star, a 'M', a 'C', etc.) put in place of the photo, it'd do well to signal the coveted megathread. Also, this seems rather simple (to me at least, maybe it's not).

If this has been suggested or if it's too complicated (or too stupid:)), please ignore.

^^Actually I like the idea of a symbol for multiple post threads. After all, isn't that all we need to know? Forget "Mega thread" or other names, just multiple post is fine. Mega thread is starting to be over used anyway.

i think mega-thread, whether it is mega or not.. is a way for people to see that there is more than 1 item for sale there.

Well, YOURS are actually Mega threads so that phrase actually means something. My point was for the vast majority of 2-3 items that most post.

Think about how search engines work, then get back to me. Here's a hint - it wasn't your use of funny fonts or bold color choices that drove traffic to your B&S threads.

Please, before you type a suggestion, please consider how it would be implemented, and how easily it could be abused. Kindly refer back 20 or so pages to Spoo's explanation of why this system was adopted, and the different possbilities and limitations of the system. This must be what it feels like to be in Congress.

We are working on the technical fixes, and actually, there will be a super condensed view in a few weeks for all you Luddites.
