After three days of power-shopping, we will have an evening to relax and do something different. We like jazz, but the wife won't abide the Paul Motian Septet and wants to lay red roses on the grave of Bobby Short. Niether of us is really interested in the Brazilian stuff that seems to be everywhere now, and sport-eating isn't in the cards for us either. We are known to have a drink occassionally without needing an occassion to drink.
Any suggestions from New Yorkers? A room with a view and a piano?
