I have ordered a 550ix for european delivery.
The timing precludes me from gettting to drive in the Alps on some of the famed mountain passes but I wlll do a second one soon

Update
Flying to Paris for a couple of days and then to Munich by the City Night line night train ( deluxe sleeper with bathroom)
I'm not using those toilets on the trains (shudder)
Pick up the car at the BMW Welt on Monday then drive to Salzburg and some other places in Bavaria.
Back to Munich, drop off the car and fly home

The internet site BMW Config gives pretty accurate invoice pricing for the European Delivery and USA delivery options.
I paid $750 above invoice which I thought was fair. I could have probably bargained them down to 500 but wasn't worth the time and effort.

I test drove an e92 M3 with the competition package yesterday. I have an 04 330i zhp 6-speed. I used to love my car. Now I think it's boring. I can't stop thinking about the M3. I've watched several youtube videos of M3s with sick exhausts (Meisterschaft drool.gif).

I WANT ONE. WHAT DO I DO?!?!?! I'm obsessed!

I don't even know why I'm posting this here lol. Congrats on your car. Did you pay in cash, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm currently considering whether to get a F11 535xd in that colour combo or just to say **** it and get a used monaco blue 135i coupe, decisions decisions


I have owned Audis before, but the new model aren't that good looking to me and the seats in the new A6 what happened there?

sounds good. i hope this is not insulting your intelligence, but ED invoice is lower than non-ED. if you got $750 over ED invoice i think that's a pretty good deal. there are a few dealers i talked to this year that were willing to give me $500 over invoice but a $250 difference isn't a deal breaker by any means, i agree.

im extremely enviable about your situation, but upon further reasoning and thinking, getting an m3 right now would be retarded, financially. i cant afford to pay cash for it (im only 22), but i can technically afford the payments of a lease or select financing.. but i'd feel dirty doing that.

a lot of folks on m3post steered me away from doing it lol.

750 above ED invoice:). I'm happy. The dealer accepted it.
It is a pretty good deal and I didn't use up a lot of time in negotiations.
I start at ED invoice and negotiate up. I never start at MSRP and go down.

so
quite simply the car kicks major ass
I had it up to 145mph on the A7 in Bavaria.
Trip started in Paris for three days, then the night train to Munich which was a blast.
The trip ended at the Mandarin Oriental Munich.......which I highly highly recommend.
Will post more later including pictures.
The delivery at the BMW Welt was most entertaining and almost a surreal experience.
6-8 weeks to get the car to the states now.

I just double checked and it seems you gotta pay for your flight and any accomodation outside of a night to pick up the car? The latter makes sense but I always thought flight was included. My friend just bought an S4 and when I told him the flight was included he nearly shed a tear.

BMW doesn't pay for flights or accommodation. I do not know about the other ED programs
Lufthansa does have a 2 for 1 program with BMW.
At any rate it was worth what I paid.
The car is awesome and I took a great trip.
