Might be going to nyc, need suggestions.

So I'm probably going to be accompanying my family on a short trip to New York during next summer. I'm completely lost as to what to see and what to do, and how to behave. I'm not really interested in "see X museum" and "go to Y theater" as much as I am interested in good men's clothing stores that hopefully will have a summer sale of some sort. (Yes, I'm just shallow like that. ) Any suggestions?

I'm interested in suits, ties, and shoes. Not so much shirts, though, since I can get those online for cheapies. I've looked through other threads in this forum and have addresses of the high-end department stores and such. I'll definitely go to these for the educational experience. Who knows, maybe if I manage to scrape together enough cash, I'll be able to find my first pair of Lobbs. Do these stores usually have some sort of seasonal sale during the summer? see X does not equal sex by the way (I hear those museums are boring and full of dusty dildos)
