Holy s**t this new layout is awful  

I admit, navigation is a bit different than the old theme but these things take time. It offers more than the previous board and there is a learning curve involved. I hope it grows well on all of us.

I personally quite like it

The mods have said the layout will be updated as soon as possible. I am having trouble viewing many threads, the B&S won't work for me as a buyer or seller, and the site is very very slow for me. HOWEVER, those above have promised to fix these issues.

All things take time to get used to.

Having worked on forum re-designs in the past, the best thing is just to be patient and work with the staff to incorporate meaningful changes and updates along the way. Sometimes the staff can overlook things that users might be able to point out, and there's an adjustment period for that.

One thing I'm already really liking is the added thumbnails and more easily broken down item details on the Buying / Selling forum. The segmented categories are great too.

The top half of each post including a crammed in sidebar of ads isn't ideal at all, but it comes with the territory on a free site with a large amount of users. Within a few weeks, we'll all be used to it and barely notice anymore.

The new direction and intent is sound, and I'd imagine any outstanding issues anyone has will be sorted out soon.

Honestly, I'm not sure what it is exacly that is causing this but I find it very hard to even read the various threads. It seems like my eyes don't "get it" quickly and I have to spend much more time reading the thread names than before.

I'm constantly getting this "Unresponsive Script" warnings in Firefox 3.6.18 Anyway to get rid of this crap?!

The forum layout and software that we used before was the same that pretty much every popular forum on the internet used. Changing everything makes this site the odd one out. I have to "hunt" for things when I look at the forum, not because it's new, just because it's poorly designed. It's like a menu where the salads and deserts are listed first.

Just installed no-script. Works like a charm!

What a shitty layout... why not stick to the simple design???

So I just went the SW&D Buy and Sell forum for the first time and man, is that buggy as hell (for the record, I am browsing on an iPad):

- hitting the back button always brings you back to the first page, no matter if you are on page 2 or 4.

- the site is soooooo slow. I really like preview pictures but it takes for ever to load and scrolling up and down is full of pauses and sputters.

- when on pages 2, 3, or 4, it states that you are on page 2 at the top in the header.

- the forum states that there are 5 pages however when I click on page 5, it does not load.
