I'm not sure what is causing this, but on browsing on my iPhone using iOS 5 Beta 4 (yes, I know it's a beta, but it wasn't an issue on Beta 1-3) anytime I tap the screen to scroll, it sends me right to the reply box. I can zoom out and scroll up or down after that, but it just sends me back to the reply box after a couple seconds.

Most likely an issue with the iPhone, but just throwing that out there. I might revert to Beta 3 and see if that changes anything.

What shows up on the post is the letter A but between each one is a box with what looks like "00" on the top line and a 180 degree rotated L with and F on the bottom line.

1. Its impossible to rightclick any function on any popup window that opens. Including inserting images, etc. I have to control V it every time. (Safari)

2. When someone sends you a PM and there are multiple recipients, I cant find a way to only reply to the sender, and not everyone else. Its like auto-reply all.

I disabled Javascript on my iPhone today and the site is blazingly fast. As I suspected it's all the shitty, useless Javascript effects increasing the lag.

However, the Reply function is junk because it totally relies on Javascript to work. So to make the site browsable, I can't post on it.

Is there an equivalent of the old vaispy.php that gave you a 'live listing' of the new posts please?

Not sure exactly what you mean/have in mind. Could you please elaborate?

Ah, I see. Not sure a lot of people used that. The first time I saw it, I thought it it was hysterical. No, I don't think that we have that, but the front page gives the most recent activity, and updates very regularly.

Hm. Same result in FF on my home box, as one might expect.

 

My usual way of surfing was to open the forum, open the subforums I wanted, then go down the first subforum and open all the threads of interest in tabs. I might have 20 SF tabs open at any given time. I am getting up to 3 or so right now, on an old box. I can still do that with JS off, but leave the threads I want to reply in open and Reload All, then it can load while I reply to my first thread.

 

 

The main page does this now, chobo -- hit the Styleforum to go to your logged in home page, and just above and to the right of the thread list, hit the Play icon. You can customize the refresh rate and such as well.

Is there something wrong with the quote button? When i try to quote someone picture it also shows multiple other posts from different people. Which i do not want.

Please tell me more about this. I don't use Facebook ... and I'm still finding the site to be slow. Must I somehow add it?

If you use Firefox, Safari, IE, Opera, or Chrome as your browser, you can install the Ghostery add-on which will automatically block those things without requiring any technical expertise.
