The Final 'Harry Potter" movie - Page 3

This movie was like a Star Wars prequel. Part 1 was all plodding bullshit and rehashing the three-way sexual tension thing they were supposed to have gotten over a few movies ago, and Part 2 was crummy wand-fight action and CGI dragons/fire-serpents. No meat, no emotion, no impact. Prisoner of Azkaban was the high point of this series and the last few films have been incredibly mediocre when you consider not only the amount of money put into them but also the who's who of british actors they trot out even for bit parts.

A lot of the blame lies with Rowling, who thankfully made it cool for a generation of kids to read again -- but the Harry Potter series is inescapably juvenile in just about every aspect.

The deal with the Elder Wand was that Potter had gathered the deathly hallows and decided that no one should ever have access to such power. So he dropped the Resurrection Stone in the forest, and did away with the Elder Wand.

That said, I liked it, but felt like they could have added another 50 minutes to the running time and I would not have minded a bit.

Oh, and a big +1 to Emma Watson in the Bellatrix costume.

+1 totally agree.

Totally glossed over... yeah that scene where he comes back inside the hall and everyone just pretty much ignores him made me "wtf?"

i didn't like how the strongest wand in the wizarding universe was just easily snapped
