sockless footwear suggestions

so it is wayyy too hot here in toronto to be wearing socks. trying to go for sockless, here are some of my thoughts loafers, they look too formal, edit i can consider loafers provided they look sleek enough flip flops, not really practical for wearing for long periods of time as they cause foot damage, plus they look too sloppy sandals, so many of them look so ghetto, maybe if there was something stylish boat shoes, they don't look good slippers, maybe if they look good any suggestions, none of that plastic sports slippers so any suggestions, something easy to slip on and can be worn in the summer and the fall without socks. ofcourse i don't want to sweat in them as well.
