anyone else wear shoes a bit too big? - Page 2

hell no. There are few things I find more annoying than shoes that are too large (sartorial things anyway)

It's a tough call what is more unpleasant; slightly large v. slightly small. I almost think I'd rather have something slightly small.

Agreed! I struggle to find RTW shoes that are comfortable to wear, even with the higher end makers. Whenever I have had fittings at EG, the shoes they have fitted me with have been incredibly tight around the toes and painful to walk in whilst all the while the SA insists they fit me perfectly. As a result I have sometimes bought shoes a little larger. I've also had MTOs with the shoes a little wider, but this hasn't completely alleviated the problem, and so i'm considering going bespoke with G&G.

I have a question on this. My feet are two different sizes - they probably started out the same but my right foot has over 15 years of kicking a soccer ball and has been broken a couple times. I have very high arches to begin with, but my right foot is even higher (probably why it's shorter.) Consequently, my right shoe always wears funny. I can't wear insoles because of my high arches. Is there something made to take up space in the front of a shoe?
