Euro Trip Packing List

I'm looking to do some travelling in Europe (Germany/Denmark/Netherlands/British Isles) in the October-November timeframe and am looking for ideas/experiences from people as far as a clothing packing list is concerned. I'm going to have to travel extremely light, everything has to fit into my backpack (Goruck GR2 for those who want to know).

So far I've got:

NB 574s for walking/travelling

Clarks DBs for something to wear other then sneakers while going to the pub etc (I need something disposable when I'm done the trip, and my Clarks are coming to the end of their useful life)

Pair of dark almost new raw denim

Lightweight or lined cotton jacket (harrington or pea coat style)

Blazer (in my case, a very casual twill 3 roll 2 patch pocket thing)

Gray Tees

Gray Sweatshirt

Some lightweight flannel shirts and OCBDs (not sure how many, likely 4-5 at the least)

Boxers/Socks (6-8 pairs, I'm assuming I'll come across laundromats or cleaners on my travels)

Any other ideas?

Get two pair of Ex-Oficio underwear and wash in the sink every night. I'd get shoes that you don't need to wear socks with. I'm bringing my Quoddys for that...really packable, light and comfortable with or without socks.

Looks good. I'd take a leather jacket as well.

I have a hard time going sockless as it is, for long periods of walking my feet would turn to hamburger. That being said, my NBs are comfortable with and without socks. Which Quoddys are you bringing?

I'm not a fan of leather, nor do I own any leather jackets. Good idea though.

I'd bring a pair of chinos as some alternate pants and a pair of shorts... comfortable athletic shorts or regular old chino shorts... up to you. Maybe a pair of plastic flip flops/slippers in case the showers are grimy.

That all seems a bit more formal (I use that term loosely) then I would need. Oxford laceups sounds like a different option then Clarks though. Scarf is a good idea for colder days too, I didn't think of that.

Bring a pocket square too. It can come in handy. Maybe a hat.

Scarf is a definite must. Are you planning on going to any nice restaurants or events? That's why I suggested a tie and oxfords.

Not really. I'm more of the casual type.

leather bluchers. i bought a pair of new balance "minimus" yesterday...its like for barefoot running/walking/etc but they are good for sockless adventures. kind of like vibrams but not as rediculous looking. I've been thinking of doing a Goruck GR1 for minimal packing. check out www.packlite.tumblr.com if you haven't already for more ideas
