Since this is my first post id like to start by thanking the forum and its members for all the advice I have gotten simply anonymously browsing. I knew nothing about dress and tailored clothes since i never had occasion to wear them. However I recently started work in the family business where they are needed and found this site when researching just prior to building a suitable wardrobe. Because of this ive avoided some truly terrible purchases and been introduced to companies like Isaia, borrelli, charvet, testoni and crockett and jones. Although ive learned lots I have to purchase a few sport coats soon and next month a suit (one three season navy blazer, one for fall/winter, spring summer) and would be grateful to get some more specific advice. I would like the ability to dress down (jeans) and more formal with both coats, and the winter coat be versatile enough to wear with a wide selection of seasonal shirts. In terms of cut im also looking for something more classical. for cost id like to keep each under $1,500. As I said earlier ime very much a novice so things like weave and patterns I know nothing about, with that in mind ive found two coats below that to me seem to fit the above criteria and would love any and all input you have.
