WAYWRN: MC Casual Style - Page 629

I'm not very well-versed in how different jeans compare in quality (but last time I checked, the streetwear guys still liked the usual suspects, such as APC and Dior), but if I had to pair jeans with that kind of coat, I would go with much slimmer cut jeans in navy, charcoal or mid-to-dark brown. Acne jeans are pretty crappy quality-wise, but their Max model should answer the purpose.

In terms of looking "rock 'n' roll". Well, that's one of those "know it when I see it" kind of things. Personally, I think stacking looks really cool when done well. And the skinny Ramones look still has some legs, too. If you have the body, style and personality to carry it off.

Ha! Apc. Tssk. wink.gif

Seriously though, where did my stacking go wrong?

If these really are ugly dad jeans I don't want to live in this word anymore. :') Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

They actually look really good in those pictures. Would make a great pairing with a well-fitting scoop-neck tee. But pair them with a structured Oxxford coat and we're back in exurbia again. stirpot.gif

I think the shoes are slightly too elongated and sleek for them, but otherwise the jeans look good.

I agree with this. Shoes don't work, but the jeans look great..

Better pics of the jeans on page 625.

Don't hurt me D! I'll retract my comment. I think it was the shadows that gave the jeans a worn 501 look.

I'm with you. In the above pics the jeans look great, but paired with the coat it makes a bit of a bland combo. Like a guy who wears his 15 yo favorite jeans. A darker colour whould solve it, something like Mr. K. 's jeans.

Funny. I like the jeans, too, but for me, it's the elongated shoes that pull the jeans into rock 'n' roll territory and make them work with that coat.

How this picture has spurred less than a Foo-thread worth of commentary is one of the great mysteries of our time.
