Doc, jeans come in a variety of cuts for you to try on. There are TEN Levis stores in the Oxford area.

Levis might not be your first choice but they have an amazing variety of styles and fits from skinny to straight to loose to baggy. Go to the one nearest you and ask the SA for slimmer fitting jeans such as the 511. You can still get the right waist size but the legs will be much more tapered and form fitting. They will look much better with your trim fitting jacket and vest. If the Levis are too "low rent", you will at least know that you can find jeans in your size that flatter your build. Maybe a pair of APCs, although I have yet to have any experience with them.

Regardless, it will be a whole new world. Happy hunting.

Friday. No vis hanky is cream silk. tie is a navy grenadine not showing up well. Shoes are black medallion toe oxfords.

I need to get a sheenier navy tie. Also white shirt would've been better in hindsight.

Yesterday.

It's really nice -- it makes me wish I was a t-shirt guy, even. Can I ask where it's from?

it's a cheapy from australian mall brand Cotton On.

It's funny, I instantly recognised the colour palette they were attempting to copy when I saw it walking past the store. There was a mustard one that I picked up as well. Looks quite bad on the rack, but I remembered seeing Simon Spurr winter 2011 collection and the amazing turtleneck in that shade, so I thought, for $10 may as well see if I can get the colour to work for me.

One day I will find this turtleneck.

Haha, I'm from Sydney, so I'm extremely familiar with Cotton On. I dig.

They do make pretty damn decent imitations, for a pretty damn decent price.

Their tshirts fit me perfectly. I go in once a year and pick up about 10 white tees and a singlet or two. Dunno if i'd buy anything else from there - in the Auckland stores they play awful dubstep and it's full of hypebeasters and dumb girls. It's pretty much get in, grab as many tshirts as I can, pay, and run for my life before an annoying teenage girl takes a shine to me.

Can't really beat the price though.
