That's some lovely cloth PT! Can't wait for the fit pics.

stichtybro,

everyone at this forum loves you, but honestly you should listen to the advise given to you more consequently.
While I think your more formal outfits have improved, your casual ones are still not working in your favour.
I agree to everything Teger and SeaJen have already told you and also would advise you once again to get rid of this pair of shoes.
The clunky toe box just doesn't look very nice and also the colour has more often than not given you troubles to pair it with the rest of the outfit.
I can't remember who gave you that advise, I think it was Threadbearer or Holdfast(?), but I too would recommend to you to decide for a casual fit which you really like, be it from a respected member of this forum or some tumblr, and try to get your hands on the items needed to build it for your own frame.
If you continue the way you do right now the wild mixture of critique on both style and fit is very difficult to deal with I guess, so focus on one aspect and nail the fit first, because it is more important imo, there is plenty of time left for you to express your creativity in the future, but every outfit, as nice the single items and the overall style might be, will fail if it just doesn't fit you properly.

Crushing it, in my opinion.  The ink/beard is offset really well with dress shirt and belt.  I hope that you rock this socially as much as at work.  Not crazy about the hem of the pants though.

Today's outfit is suitable to x-post into this thread I think:

Thanks SL, is it the length or just the way it falls that you're not crazy about? I wish it did fall a bit better, and I think a 2 inch permacuff doesn't quite jive with the weight of the trouser, kind of hangs heavy. I think it'd be best with cust a smaller flip cuff, as I feel that weight works. Will prob have it altered as such eventually.

thanks louis.

first off, i assure you, not everyone loves me. smile.gif

your points are well taken. in response, i guess i have just a few things to say.

1. i am, in certain ways, trying to develop a casual style. if i wanted to model it after anyone in particular, it would probably be NOBD, but im not sure that i have the right build for his style. it will take time, though. i am more focused on MC, atm.

2. i really like these shoes, and they are not going anywhere. i think i will be able to find ample use, and color matching for them. however, i am getting ready to purchase a pair of snuff sude chukkas, that i think would be more versatile.

3. i dont mind the mix of critique, i am happy to hear what everyone has to say. i take from it what i feel is right for me.

4. i dont think pictures truly represent how most of my fits come off irl, and, there are things i like that i know are not forum faves, and i imagine i will continue to wear them, and maybe even occasionally post them.

again, thanks for your advice. much appreciated.

K, I feel if you would tuck in your shirt, this would be a great outfit.
Just am no fan of this contrast branding and the shape of the bottom of the shirt.
Nice pickup on the vest!

suede chukkas and dark denim look really nice.  and the jeans and denim match well too. but with a pink shirt, you might want throw on some sort of grey colored sportcoat to balance out the other colors, and preferably one that's longer than your untucked shirt (which is a general rule of thumb of mine).  vest might go really well over a forest green sweater perhaps?

just thinking out aloud, so take my advice however you please . . .
