Don't crease casual pants. Everything else Teger said was good advice. When you get them hemmed, don't have them hemmed too short. Make sure they at least have a break. These are casual pants so they need some of that casual detailing.
A light blue oxford OCBD would be great with those pants and the bucks.

i am under the impression that selvedged pants should be rolled once to show the selvedge? i know nothing about jawns and selvedge, is that correct, and should i factor that into the hemming when i do?

Nope. It's a personal thing. I do it sometimes, and don't do it other times. It's entirely up to you.
Just make sure you that they have at least a full break. The tailor or seamstresses usually know this about casual pants. Get them to leave a couple of inches of fabric that can be let out again if you're unsure and don't trust them.
