the pants are actually ever so slightly darker than the belt, but only by a shade, so i guess its not really noticeable. the shoes are pretty much the same as the belt. this lack of contrast was pointed out by gdl as well in a previous post of mine.
what material/color belt would you suggest instead of the one i have on to remedy this issue?
thanks.

I'm not a fan of "fun" belts but something darker than the pants, forget the match your belt to your shoes stuff. Also, the pants really are not meant to be dressed up, or at least dressed the way you are here. I think those are meant more for tees, casual shirts, sneakers/boots kinda thing.

I took up golf recently and expect to suck at it for the rest of my life. How anyone ever gets good at this game is beyond me.

Before you spend another dollar on the game, get a good instructor. It will make a huge freaking difference. Take the money you were going to spend on a few rounds, and spend it on the golf coach instead. Saves your back, clubs, and years of frustration. Not to mention your golf buddies will love you for not stinking up the course, and turning a four hour round into a six hour round.

Also, go get fitted for clubs. I believe you are above average in height, which means standard length clubs are a no-go. Get fitted, and get clubs that match your physique and swing type.

Feel free to PM with questions so I don't hijack the crap out of this thread...bearer.

It's far from a new term, especially in the #menswear community. Depending on who you talk to the term can refer to fit (high rise, narrow through the hip and leg, yet somehow still baggy in all the wrong places) or color (pre-faded to an almost acid washed effect with obviously fake distressing). Either way, they are most typified by Seinfeldian style or in several Obamanations more recently. They have seen a bit of a resurgence in the fashion circles after pictures of Italian dudes wearing pre-treated denim in the Spring/Summer months surfaced a few years ago.

You can do what I did and get good at hockey first. Then golf comes pretty easily.

I, too, think Stitchy's chinos look good, but I agree with Ed that the shoes and belt are too close a color match with the pants.

Lolz, well I didn't know it was a normal american term :D Yeah that I can agree with to much of the same color there. Maybe another belt would be good.
